Mixtape: The World Can’t Bring You Down

Well, the year shows no signs of letting up just yet, but we are skidding into the last couple of months and traditionally that has begged for a few mixtapes around here. The last few years I’ve rounded up some of the best indie pop into bouquets of jangles, in the tradition of Sarah Records comps, and this year proved more packed than most. There have been so many insistent indie pop records that it was hard to narrow down a mix, but here’s just over 90 minutes of the best bittersweet moments from the last year or so. Plenty of familiar names in the bunch, but quite a few newcomers grace the ranks as well. Dive in!
