The band returns to follow up their 2021 double shot of Still Life and the EP Lane Lines with news a new album on the way this fall. After four years of upheaval, growth, joy, and grief, the band has channeled their experience into Coaster, watching the road behind them slip slowly over the rear horizon. First single “Daffy Duck” is the band at their best, smelting jangle and synth-pop into a single that’s bittersweet and beautiful, quietly quivering with a full body sigh. Hung on the perfect melancholy of Gabi Ferrer’s vocals, the song carves out a corner for the kind of decisions that crystalize one into adulthood, the ones that leave a scar.
