Jon Camp – “Kerosene Goodbye”

This one slipped into the mix last week, but its worthy of a call out all on its own. Jon Camp’s last album was a favorite around here, and the D.C. Songwriter’s newest for Centripetal Force finds him following on the record with a mix of comfort and quiet. First single, “Kerosene Goodbye’ wraps yearning steel sighs in string swells and the dexterous fingerpicking that Camp’s been known for in the past, carving out a tender ode to his family’s rural roots. The new album finds Camp in excellent company, with more than a few familiar names cropping up in the credits. The record features contributions from Joseph Allred, Scott Verrastro (The Heavy Lidders, Kohoutek), Drew Gardner (Elkhorn) and many more. Camp’s Proceed is out October 17th from Centripetal Force.
