Good Flying Birds – “Eric’s Eyes” 
Good Flying Birds have cropped up here before, most notably on a comp from St. Louis’ Inscrutable Records, but the band’s made some other notable appearances, with indie offerings for Rotten Apple and a comp from Paperface Zine last year for the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund. The band will bring their shrouded jangles to Carpark and Cali indie Smoking Room, with news of a new signing and a new single, volleying up “Eric’s Eyes” from their about to be released Talulah’s Tape. The band joins a growing cadre of tape-hiss wrapped twee strummers (Sharp Pins, Smashing Times, Now) who dig into the sweetness of the indie pop pantheon, but let a little Vaseline smear the lenses of their songs. The band’s new record is scheduled to slip out from Rotten Apple on July 20th, and the band will support Ducks LTD on a Midwest run this summer.
