Golden Brown – “The Kirghiz Light”

Another excellent entry from the new batch out of Inner Islands. Perennial RSTB favorite Golden Brown is back, with Stephen Beck doing double duty this year in both Prairiewolf and his solo skin. The new GB album is steeped in a crystalline glow, letting the fingerpicked pleasantries bleed right through the cosmic lining. The subtle shimmer of “The Kirghiz Light” is given a visual representation from River Drawn Films, who have also done works for Aux Meadows. The new album, Wide Ranging Rider, arrives September 8th from the Inner Islands house. It’s Golden Brown’s first time on vinyl, and its been well worth the wait.
