Another solid jangler out of the Meritorio stable today comes with the announcement of Fort Not’s latest album. The Swedish band cloaks their indie pop in a veneer of haze that burns off slowly over the course of “Stationary.” Tipping towards ‘90s indie, the song swirls around the speakers, dosed and dazed and caught up in a dream. The band’s latest record continues the corroded ache that began on 2023’s Depressed for Success, turning strums and the fizz of noise into a delightful pop package.
