Tulpa – “Let’s Make A Tulpa!”

Getting a late start today, but there’s a wealth of indie pop on the plate starting with this excellent debut single from UK outfit Tulpa. The band has been gaining traction live in the UK, but “Let’s Make A Tulpa!” is the first recorded work to hit the ground from the band. Steeped in the perfect portion of ‘90s angst, the band brings to mind Veruca Salt and The Breeders at their most dynamic. The single is full of an electric energy, wrapped around rubberized riffs and a soaring chorus. For a band that’s kept things quiet on tape up until now, this is one hell of a way to light the fires. The band’s debut album, Monster of the Week, is out November 28th from Skep Wax.
