RSTB faves The Smashing Times let loose a third single from the upcoming new album Mrs. Ladyships and The Cleanerhouse Boys. The title track finds the band wrapping bleary hooks in soft strums, a tender side to their jangle-pop perspective. The band’s songwriting can often be a bit spare, but here they build a ramshackle wonderland of background vox, flute trills, strums and swoons. The new single captures the band at their pop peak, a standout on the new album. Mrs. Ladyships and The Cleanerhouse Boys is out November 1st from K Records and Perennial Death.
