Uni Boys – “I Don’t Wanna Dream Anymore”

I’ve been packing in the power pop in the start of the New Year, and longtime RSTB favorites Uni Boys sew up the week right with the announcement of a new album for Curation. Among the new power pop class, Uni Boys have long been a leading light. The new album finds the Boys in a softer place, and there’s a little less sneer n’ smirk at the heart of “I Don’t Wanna Dream Anymore.” The song has a heartsick side to it, slightly bruised, finding the Boys pitched perfect and pining. They’ve ditched The Quick and reclined into rosy glow of The Raspberries this time around. For all the fans who’ve been hung on The Lemon Twigs, it’s time to get some Uni Boys on the speakers. The new album, an eponymous affair, is out March 27th from Curation Records.
