Season 2 – “Abundance of Power”

Playing a bit of catch up after a busy start to the week, but where better to step back into it than with a new band full of Aussie faves. Featuring members of Parsnip, The Stroppies and Phil and the Tiles, Season 2 offer a darker shade of the Aussie indie spectrum. The band’s first single rumbles into view on a loping bassline, bringing to mind The Breeders before spiking the formula with brittle guitars and call and response vocals shrouded in a cloud of cool. This one is definitely scratched by the ‘90s more than some of their contemporaries, leaving some of the jangle n’ jolt that’s been a hallmark of the Aussie underground in their wake. The band’s upcoming new album, Power of Now, is out April 24th from Upset The Rhythm abroad and Spoilsport at home.
