Hans Chew – “She’s A Seer”

A huge new single swings in from Hans Chew today. The songwriter and pianist has been found in excellent company over the years (Garcia Peoples, One Eleven Heavy, D. Charles Speer & The Helix) but he’s always saved a good dose of rock ribald for his solo records. It’s been the better part of a decade since of of those surfaced, but Chew is back this year with a new record on the way featuring Dave Shuford (NNCK, Rhyton), Dan Brown (Royal Trux), and Steve Daly (Emily Nenni). The second single out of the gate is the pounding, punishing “She’s A Seer,” Led by Chew’s barroom piano, the single splits the scene between The Black Crows and Leon Russell, bringing a classic feel to the seams of Land of Dream. The new album is out September 5th on Birthday Suit Records with some help from Three Lobed.
