Dungen – “Snurra På Hjulet”

Among a wealth of roster favorites and the revelation of some new signings (Katzin, SMG, Wax Machine’s Lau Ro, Natural Wonder Beauty Concept) Mexican Summer slips in a new cut from longtime favorites Dungen on a new compilation, Sitting on the Moon. It’s been a few years since the Swedish psych outfit graced the speakers around here, but it’s good to have them back, hooking into a breezy bout of classic Dungen sounds, layered with flute, strings, and fanciful blooms of baroque psych that turn a wordless wander into the kind of cut that can cool of the endless drag of August. The new comp also sees roster faves Conan Mockasin, Jefre Cantu-Ledesma, and Robert Lester Folsom return with new material. The comp is out now from Mexican Summer.
