Dimples – “Passage of Time” 
It feels like just yesterday that bi-coastal duo Dimples was a fixture on the speakers, but their excellent Soul Chateau has already been in the rearview for three years. It remains a perennial favorite, but its great to see that Greg Hartunian and Colby Nathan return with a new collection of homespun folk and pop. The band closes out their new album with a midnight hued gem, “Passage of Time.” The band’s works can slip through the psychedelic veil, but on the new single they strip back everything for a simple saunter around the guitar and a sighed delivery that sends the song’s contemplative core home. The band’s been hovering on the fringes for quite a few year, but with each new record they solidify their status as psych-soul stunners. The new record, Obscure Residue, is out September 26th from Feeding Tube / Ba Da Bing.
