Creative Writing – “Slice & Dice”

Real excited to share a second single from the upcoming Creative Writing debut today. Slipping away from the jangled tangles and ‘90s CMJ chart digging of their early works, the band hits the pop pedal on “Slice & Dice” amping up the angst and dousing the hooks in fuzz. The song finds the band at their most insistent, charging out of the speakers with a punk pounce that scoops up Superchunk’s elasticity,The Wipers’ dented West Coast indie charms, and the edge of Toy Love’s early years (round about the “Squeeze”-era). The band’s already had an RSTB fave on the books with their early 2025 EP, but they aim to go two for two with the upcoming Baby Did This, out October 3rd from Meritorio Records.
