Chris from RSTB faves Silver Synthetic strikes out solo for a new record on Nudie. First single “Talking Blues” is a downtempo dalliance with dusk. It’s the kind of cut that follows the sun down the horizon, curling up in grey and purples hues. The track leans into the ease of the Synthetics’ sway, but jettisons any trace of choogle for a smooth stunner that sets the scene for Painter’s Street. Underpinned by Wurlitzer and a wondrous nest of strums, “Talking Blues” is just the kind of summer cool down that’s perfect for the start of September. The new record is out October 24th from Nudie.
