Jacuzzi Boys – “Feelin’ Fine”

It’s been a couple of months since favorites Jacuzzi Boys have let loose a single, but they’re back at it today. In the interim the band announced their upcoming album, Too Cold To Tango, and they follow on the crunch of “Instant Separation” with a low-slung groover, “Feelin’ Fine.” The song finds the Boys as tempered as ever, turning down the crackle of power pop for something a bit more slouched. The song lays back, letting the usual sky high hooks sway and swagger, organ taking a heavier place in the mix. There’s still a nice veneer of pop, but this is a more rumpled version of the Jacuzzi and the comfort feels good on ‘em. The new record was recorded in Memphis at Sam Phillips’ studio and there venue change shakes their sound up in all sorts of nice ways. The new record arrives December 5th from their imprint Mag Mag.
