Greg Weeks – “The Heathen Heart”
by Andy
A second stunner out of Greg Weeks’ upcoming return to Language of Stone. The new record revives Weeks (Espers, Grass) psych-folk solo repertoire, sending the listener tumbling over familiar eiderdowns in search of rainy day revues and misty morning fare. “The Heathen Heart” taps into Weeks’ penchant for overcast wonders, a track perfect for the gathering clouds and icy winds that blow through the Autumn months. Draped with smoke curled keys and damp strums, the song is a mossy hideaway from the crush of current concerns. “The Heathen Heart” sits nicely among the new offerings on Weeks’ upcoming album If The Sun Dies, out December 12th from Language of Stone.
