Greg Weeks – “If The Sun Dies”
it’s been an exciting year for fans of Greg Weeks (Espers, The Valerie Project). Following the news that the long rumored and never-released LP from Grass is on its way, Weeks announces a solo record is on the way this morning. His first album in nearly seventeen years, the record finds Weeks back in the sunburned singe of psych-folk. “If The Sun Dies” rekindles the feelings of past works; a warm, inviting track Imbued with a lingering feeling of longing. The melancholy chorus weighs heavy on the speakers, sighing over the ease of strums and a charred bout of electric bliss. The new record, also titled If The Sun Dies, comes with a bonus bout of excitement for aughts free folk heads as well. It will serve as the first new release on Weeks’ Language of Stone label since it went on hiatus in 2009. The new record is out December 12th from Language of Stone.
