EarthBall – “Where I Come From”

If you’re in need of a seething mind scrape bound to boil the blood, then look no further than the latest from Canadian collective EarthBall. The band’s been hurtling through the horizons of psych, jazz, and noise for years, and their latest sears the senses in a vivid splatter of venom. The band follows up on a double-decker offering of live recordings, a space where the band’s improvisational skills turn their tumultuous studio sessions into towering visions of heat and havoc. The new single aims to capture that live energy, and does well in its goal. “Where I Come From” seethes in its studio restraints, threatening to burn through the speakers on buoy of Liam Murphy’s sax. The new album, Outside Over There, is out November 7th from Upset The Rhythm.
