ÖLÜM – “Yeşil Güneş (Green Sun)”

L.A. Turkish psych band ÖLÜM continue to channel ‘70s psych gold with each single. Feeling like the kind of crate-dug gems that turned up on early aughts comps exploring the era, the band have locked into something both nostalgic and evergreen. At any moment if feels like the mask is about to be pulled back to reveal Andy Votel DJing behind the crushed velvet and shag of “Yeşil Güneş (Green Sun),” but instead, the band remains a modern prism of psych and style. Clearly craving a few past aesthetics, the band channels long gone days on the new single, capturing excess and incense in the ‘shirtless-on-top-of-a-custom-van’ video that accompanies the track.
