Jeanines – “What’s Lost”
by Andy

Every new gem out of the upcoming new Jeanines album only sweetens the deal. The band’s latest continues their curve towards fuller, lusher sounds. Like their last album, How Long Can It Last bends indie pop into ‘60s folk winds, winding Free Design’s sunshine around the melancholy of Veronica Falls and Look Blue Go Purple. A bit more restrained than their fist single, but no less captivating, “What’s Lost” soars on September streaks, lost in bittersweet harmonies and grey-skied jangles. The band has a way of making you want to inhabit 1:30 forever, and this one is sure to be locked on repeat just like the glorious bounce of “On and On.” The band’s new album hits shelves on June 27th from Slumberland.
