Spanish outfit Melenas are back with a new album for Trouble in Mind. The first single hits hits week, trading up the band’s frayed guitar pop for a bit of propulsion, tipping towards the ‘90s Neu-wave like their lablemates En Attendant Ana. The band bites onto the sunny side of Broadcast and Stereolab for a single that sparkles with life. Fizzing with synths and a vocal weave that imprints the song deep in the brain, “Bang” boasts a hook that’s not bound to leave the brain anytime soon. The new album, Ahora, is out September 29th.
