La Luz – “I’ll Go With You”

The runup to the new La Luz album has been strewn with essential singles and the band drops one more before their new album, News of the Universe, arrives next month. With a lonesome sigh, a ripple of vibraphone, and soft strums, “I’ll Go With You” saunters onto the speakers. The band has a way of mixing sea-tossed, beach air burndowns into the mix with their garage-pop and this falls squarely into that camp. It’s an end of day, slightly buzzed ode to love that’s wrapped in pillowy harmonies and hungover heat. The new record arrives May 24th from Sub Pop.
