A third single from the upcoming Glyders album finds the band shifting shadows once more, shirking off the exhaust-fume grind of “High Time,” and the country comedown of “Wrong Sometimes Right.” Instead the song adopts a soft-lighted shuffle, chugging just a bit like Suicide on cough syrup before flute dawns through the haze and the guitars take on a more piercing edge. Another one of my most anticipated releases of the year and bound to be one that sticks with me through the next twelve months. Maria’s Hunt is out January 20th from Country Thyme / Drag City.
