BCMC – “Kaleidosmoke”

So much music on the dock today it’s hard to keep up, but I’d be shorting you not to direct your attention to a new album from Cooper Crain and Bill MacKay’s BCMC. The pair have found themselves hidden away in the crevices between folk and prog, sketching out mountain paths traversed by Witthüser & Westrupp, Popul Vuh, Floyd and Terry Riley. First taste of a new album, “Kaleidosmoke” winds smoke-saturated keys around MacKay’s fluid guitar lines, pulling the listener deep into their crystalline caverns. The single crops up on the new record, Stash, out June 26th from Drag City.
