Primitive Ring – “Lies From The Other Side”

Whew, this day is packed with music but there’s always time for a little Primitive Ring. The West Coast trio emerges from a pristine run of singles for their debut this year on In The Red. Second single “Lies From The Other Side” slips back into the smokescreen of their psych-soaked scorch. The band’s always had a soft spot for Blue Cheer and it’s plain to see that they’re still chasing the band into the fire on this one. The cut pummels the listener, fuming out of the speakers like a cloud emerging from an airbrushed van. Needless to say some volume should be applied to the single. Let it sing from the windows and make the neighbors shake their heads. The self-titled new album is out from In The Red in May.
