In the spirit of examining a few great Aussie releases I missed, the second one comes from Full Power Happy Hour. The introspective country cooler explores nature, empathy, and coming to terms with cruelty in modern times. It’s hard not to be charmed by the golden hour hues that the band wraps up in the hooks here and the honesty and vulnerability are on display all over the band’s new album on Coolin By Sound. The band pairs the cut with a natural video that sees the band soaking ups the sun in a farm, tying in the naturalism of the song’s scope. The new record was out in March, but you can till nab a copy over at the label.
