The Pink Stones (feat. Teddy and the Rough Riders) – “Who’s Laughing Now”

The Pink Stones’ debut found a lot of play on the the deck around here in the last couple of years, so the new that the band has a new one on the way in ’23 is welcome news. The group rode the rising tide of cosmic country with the best of them on Introducing and from the sounds of first single “Who’s Laughing Now?” the don’t aim to quit. The last album split its run between the soft hearted swooning that dipped their works in a sunset glow and a good dose of barroom belters. The new single finds itself squarely in the latter camp, vamping into the room on a country-funk foundation and laying down a torn and frayed tale of love gone sour with a bit of acid on its tongue. The song features fellow RSTB faves Teddy and The Rough Riders, which feels just right. The new album, You Know Who, is out June 30th from Normaltown/New West.
