Chronophage – “Summer to Fall”

Avatar

Can’t stress how much this one should be on your most anticipated list. Austin’s Chronophage have been working out excellent indie bound, post-punk scratched albums for a few years now, but with their eponymous third album on the way in June, they’re poised to burst out of the whispered recommendations and into the light properly. The new record makes the jump to Post Present Medium and finds the band working out their most insistent, yet polished works yet. They follow the infinitely enjoyable “Black Clouds” with the equally charming “Summer To Fall.” The new single is pushes guitar tension and bass propulsion against a more lilting vocal, contrasting nicely with a bit of push-pull tension. The new album is out June 3rd from PPM and Bruit Disques Direct.
