Young Guv – “Good Time”

Continuing the excellent run of power pop singles leading up to the release of Guv III, Young Guv lets out another burst of sunshine to shoo away the clouds on a February morning. “Good Time” is pinned to lilted strums and dewy vocals that exemplify the title’s vibes. While there’s certainly an argument to go sour in these past few years, Cook has been embracing a positive light that shines all around the new Guv LP. We could all probably use at least a three-minute break, and this fits the bill. The new record is out March 11th on Run For Cover.
