Rich Ruth – “Older But Not Less Confused”

Every track off the upcoming debut from Rich Ruth pushes further into the psychedelic unconsciousness. The composer’s album slaloms through jazz-psych sojourns, Library Music motifs, and ambient float. The scorched new single “Older But Not Less Confused,” tumbles on rhythms that sweat through the speakers pushing against a scorched sax line that gnaws at the track like gristle and gravel. The song is accompanied by a dizzying video that bombards the viewer until a chaotic finish, a nice accompaniment to the song’s intensity. The new album, I Survived, It’s Over, is out August 12th from Third Man.
