Jim Nothing – “The Present”

A steady stream of singles has been trickling out of NZ’s Jim Nothing over the past few months and they finally all have a home as the band announces a new record for Meritorio this fall. The latest gem in the collection is the sweetly strummed and summer fresh new single “The Present.” The song’s breeze blown choruses are buffered by some backup vocals and a gauzy glaze. The cut slips in nicely among the pack of singles that have been picking song’s in playlists around here since last December, building anticipation for one of the year’s most packed indie pop records. The new record, Grey Eyes, Grey Linn, is out October 18th from Meritorio and Melted Ice Cream.
