‘Nother nice one out of the Australian psych-folds, with a new single from Adelaide’s Druid Fluids. Rippling in the winds of ‘60s psych-pop, the song has a damp coolness to it. Perpetrated by the tumble of drums, fuzz-bellied guitar, and Oscar Ellery’s sitar run, this cut lands somewhere between Revolver-era Beatles love letters and Kikagaku Moyo’s more recent bouts of verdant psychedelia. The song washes over in cascading waves of detached calm, vibrating with a glow that’s exemplified by the animated overlay in the accompanying video. The band’s independent debut album is to be announced sometime in 2022.
