Cindy – “Procession”

It’s been a packed month of music already and I missed this one on Friday, but I’d be remiss not to mention that longtime favorites Cindy have a new album on the way. Coming out of the flanneled formations of the Bay Area indie set, the band holds down the cozy end of the spectrum with April Magazine, Flowertown, and Tony Jay. The band’s latest shows no signs of shaking the comforts of their cocoon. Just above the fray of tape hiss Karina Gill lays down her pillowy vocals to great effect on the first single, “Procession,” wrapping her poetry of longing in quilted canyons of sound. The new record, Another Country, is out April 1st from Tough Love.
