Awesome today to see RSTB faves The Reds, Pinks and Purples get a bump up to Fire Records for their latest. The long running project of Glenn Donaldson (Skygreen Leopards, Art Museums, Painted Shrines) has been a Slumberland staple for a few years now, digging into the art and artifice of band life among indie pop’s best. For his first single with Fire, Donaldson continues to work through self-doubt and self-deprecation, backed by a fizzing pop track that pulls him a bit further from the band’s past soft strums and towards a more anguished vision of clouded melancholy.
