Tara Jane O’Neil – “Glass Island”

Another stellar single out of the upcoming TJO album. This time the propulsion of the last single has faded for a more dusk light linger. “Glass Island” creeps onto the speakers, patient but potent. The single finds O’Neil practically whispering wonders to the listener, guitar encircling the slight skitter of drums. It’s as delicate as the title might imply. The accompanying video lets in the midday sun, but this is definitely a song for later hours. I recommend letting it soundtrack a twilight walk. The new album, The Cool Cloud of Okayness, features contributions form Meg Duffy, Marisa Anderson, and more. It arrives April 26th from Orindal Records.
