Sunburned Hand of the Man – “People Person”

Diving into the world of Sunburned Hand of the Man is a daunting task, especially if you head down the CD-r rabbit hole, but for the casual consumer the last few years have seen a wealth of official releases that capture the Sunburned aura quite nicely. Following in the eclectic careen of Headless and Pick a Day To Die, the band is back with an expansive new release for VHF. Opening up the album is the propulsive “People Person,” feeling like it might fit right in with some of the burble of of Pick A Day’s kosmiche sway. The song throbs and pulses, pairing a spectral howl with an almost raga-like rise out of the background. The new album, Hypnotape, is out April 28th from VHF.
