Omni – “Plastic Pyramid (feat. Izzy Glaudini)”

Great to see Omni back on the case. The band got the bump up to the Sub Pop Roster on their last album and they rack up another for the Northeast giant this February. The second single off of the upcoming Souvenir finds the band roping in Izzy Glaudini from Automatic for a duet, giving a new dimension to the band’s brittle, yet propulsive post-punk. Glaudini spars easily with Frankie Broyles’s even-tempered patter, making “Plastic Pyramid” a standout in the band’s already packed catalog of crumpled hits. They pair it with a splash of nostalgia in the form of a late night informercial video directed by fellow Atlanta local Zach Pyles. The new album, Souvenir, arrives February 16th from Sub Pop.
