Laraaji + Agnes Martian + Music For Connection + Hair And Space Museum – “Numinosity”

Centripetal Force continues their stellar current run with a new collaborative release that brings together Agnes Martin, Laraaji, free-improv collective Music For Connection, and multimedia duo Hair and Space Museum. The album was recorded live at Beauty Arts Supply last September and “Numinosity” gives a nice peek into what the session entailed. Threaded through with Zekarias Thompson’s sax and Grant Beyschau’s drums, the piece lets the litany of collaborators weave keys, winds, and wonder into the mix. The new record, Coincidence, is out as a co-release between Centripetal Force, Transitory Tapes, and Working Name Studios. Along with the recordings, there’s a zine, Reflections, written by Agnes Martian members Benjamin Rodgers, Phillip Laurent, and Zekarias Thompson, and Gus and Patricio of Music for Connection in the months following the impromptu recording session examining the process and mindset of the day. The record is out May 31st.
