This time the focus shifts to rag blues and folk — a gorgeous collection of instrumentals that finds them at their best. While any record of Joesph’s has its own mercurial gravity to it, live is always the setting in which they shine the brightest. Look for no further proof than this second video from the album with Allred playing “Dance of the Fair Folk,” bringing an instant summer solitude and peace to the day.
