Jeanines – “On and On”

Barely breaking into Tuesday and there’s already a wave of good news. Slumberland (US) and Skepwax (EU/UK) team up for a new release from RSTB faves Jeanines. The band’s jangles have long dipped into the fields of ‘60s folk and they continue to tap into the wind-torn chill of The Mamas and Papas and Fairport, mixing their melancholy with the bounce and brightness of Dolly Mixture. The band announces their new album, How Long Can It Last, with the short, but sweet single “On and On.” At under two minutes, the song’s gonna swing on your speakers on repeat, but every second hits like a gift from the indie pop gods. Bounding jangles give way to a chorus that’s filled with heartache, served to bittersweet perfection with layered vocals and lilting harmonies. The new album is out June 27th and the band embarks on a UK tour with labelmates Lightheaded in July.
