Goat – “Ouroboros”

Perennial favorites Goat are back with a new album today and the first single, “Ouroboros” finds them in a particularly rhythm-forward mood. The band’s long been pinned to polyrhythms, picking through funk as it appears across the globe, but this time the pulse is quicker. With nods to the breakbeat ‘90s, the song balances ecstatic vocals that get lost in the haze, deep funk guitars, and a mournful sax breakdown. The album closer caps off one of the band’s most ecclectic outings yet. The eponymous new album is out October 11th from Rocket Recordings.
