Swedish collective Flowers Must Die offer up a curio from their recent tour with friends and labelmates OCH. The split cassette finds FMD working through lonform excursions into the psychedelic dawn. The tape features the band on the A-side, going deep into the haze with a 20+ minute crusher that starts swirled in amp smoke n’ sonic seep. As the cut builds, the band begins to thread in the funereal march of drums and a UV glare of guitars. The patient build is worth the wait as the band tumbles through the Venn diagram slice of Les Rallizes Dénudés and Träd, Gräs & Stenar. Rifling through the rounds of prog, while threatening to lift off into the Space Rock outer reaches, the cut leaves listener vibrating long after the last notes leave the speakers. The record is out digitally now, with cassettes set to ship at the beginning of December.
