Florry – “Hey Baby”

There are a few nice surprises on the dock today, but leading off with a new single from Philly favorites Florry is pretty high on the list. The band’s sunburnt country has been a staple around here. Lead by the parched but potent vocals of Francie Medosch and a rather blistering solo from John Murray, the new single picks right up where the charms of The Holey Bible left off. “Hey Baby” chews on regrets, dragging its frayed hooks over the coals while Medosch laments the inability to turn back time, looking to reset moments when words have failed and opportunities were lost. The new record, Sounds Like…, is out May 23rd from Dear Life.
