The first dip into the new album from Flanger Magazine, the work of Louisville songwriter Christopher Bush, is a gorgeously serene bout of drone folk that slowly unravels over the course of three and a half minutes. With a sawing of fiddle, and and unsteady wheeze the band finds the balance between Gruppo di Improvvisazion and Black Twig Pickers — a mountain reverie for the unbound. This time Bush brings along a few more friends than on his first, employing members of The Other Years, Sapat, and Caboladies to back him on After The Bend.
