Delivery – “The Complex”

Avatar

Jumping in quickly after a first taste of the album, Aussies Delivery are back with a new bout of itchy post-punk pounce. This one turns down the reliance on synths and bellies up to a more muscular guitar grind. “The Complex” finds James Lynch in the vocal seat, gnashing down on riffs about ego while the guitars feel out a few new angles below his leveled ire. It’s a nice counterpoint to the woozy glee of “Baader Meinhof,” stretching out the band’s range from their early singles. The debut album, Forever Giving Handshakes, is out November 11th from Feel It/Spoilsport.
