Color Green – “Fool’s Parade”

Color Green grace us with the title track to their upcoming “Fool’s Parade” this week. The new single finds the band deep in crystal caves of psych pop, letting some of the Cosmic Americana bake off with the early morning mists. Knotted guitars give way to melancholy harmonies, with just a touch of mournful steel slipping through the background. The song builds to a towering finale of guitar, giving off a few aughts psych vibes reminiscent of Darker My Love or The Occasion, the kind that walked their works through a warm room of Baroque but never stayed to let it settle in. The single makes a strong case for the upcoming, Fool’s Parade, out July 12th from New West.
