Cameron Knowler – “Farewell, Miss Forbes”
by Andy
Another single arrives to chase the chill out of the air off the upcoming new album from Cameron Knowler. The songwriter’s fingerpicked folk has always followed a softer strain than some of his peers, though he’s often felt like a kindred spirit to William Tyler and Yasmin Williams, and fans of either should find solace on his upcoming CRK. On “Farewell, Miss Forbes,” he offers up a short, but sweet run through breeze-boosted strings. The song weaves through the air, aloft on melodies with the effortless sweep of birds’ wings. The cut is pastoral, but carries with it a kind of elegance, a folk promenade for the forest. CRK is out April 4th from Worried Songs.
