Breanna Barbara – “Diamond Light”

Loving the feel on this new track from Breanna Barbara’s sophomore album Nothin’ But Time. Steeped in a twang soaked R&B rollick, the song has a flair of aughts garage, but with a timeless twist and boldness that feels like an update on Wanda Jackson and Brenda Lee’s rock pomp with a bit of French Yé-Yé in its bones as well. “Diamond Light” deals with the refractions of memory as we look back, the distortions that come through in the rearview, but despite it’s heavy heart, the song is a fun-packed strummer that’s infectious as hell. The new album is out November 11th from Fuzz Club Records.
