Beefheart & McQuinn – “Hand In Hand”

A gorgeously relaxed vision out of Melbourne today finds RSTB favorite Winter McQuinn (Sunfruits, jade imagine) pairing with UK artist Moby Beefheart aka William Murray (formerly of UK outfit FUR). Slipping towards a vision of ‘70s folk that brings to mind Joni, Crosby, or the more niche nuances of Batdorf & Rodney, the pair perfectly emulates the kind of sun-soaked Canyon comedowns that ease the mind into Sunday mornings. The single is just the first taste of an album in the works, promised to land in 2026. From the first inklings this should be high on your radar, living in the woodgrain wonderland that has been populated by fellow Aussie mood makers like Stephen Bailey, The Bures Band, and Hot Apple Band. The new single is out now from Third Eye Stimuli with some Australian touring for those in the area beginning in June.
